The award-winning actor and One False Move co-star Cynda Williams got divorced in the same year. The pair wed in 1990, but their union disintegrated in 1992 after only a few short years.
The two started dating soon after Pietra realized that Pietra was his true soul mate, and they dated for almost a year before being married.

Pietra spoke into detail about the events that had been reported, adding that her ex-husband had “lifted me off the ground by my neck and said, ‘I’m going to kill you, and then I’m going to go to prison, and the children will be orphans.”
“Our marriage was not flawless, but I never engaged in the conduct for which she holds me responsible. Right now, we should be worried about our sons since they will be the ones who suffer the most as a result of her advisers’ actions.
Later, the court approved Billy Bob’s request for a temporary restraining order. Additionally, Pietra requested custody of their kids.
According to Cherniak, the major reason she and her actor husband are divorcing is to prevent their children from growing up to be “wife abusers or violent people.”
Despite everything, they ended amicably. The former partners now have a good working relationship and are very supportive of their children.
